Spring begins with a program of varied works that feature choreographers from across the world.
“Second to Last” (excerpt) and “Pacopepepluto”, choreography by Alejandro Cerrudo, Resident Choreographer at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. Cerrudo has become wildly popular for his contemporary ballet works. “Second to Last” was created for Ballet Arizona in 2013 and received rave reviews, while “Pacopepepluto” will be a new Cerrudo piece performed by the company.
“Inner Layer”, choreography by Nayon Iovino, first premiered at Innovations 2014. Iovino (recently named Best Up-and-Coming Choreographer by AZCentral) will bring this popular work to the Orpheum Theatre stage for the first time.
“Symphonie Classique” (excerpt), an elegant and intricate ballet choreographed by Ballet Arizona Artistic Director Ib Andersen, showcases costumes by Tony Award-winning designer Martin Pakledinaz.
“Konservatoriet”,is a classic of the master August Bournonville the choreographer who shaped the repertory for the Royal Danish Ballet.

Thursday, March 24, 7 p.m.
Friday, March 25, 7:30 p.m.
A post-performance chat will be held 15 minutes after the Saturday, March 26, 2 p.m. performance.
