This year’s bear market has mauled many companies, particularly once-highflying tech and growth stocks like Nvidia (NVDA) and Meta Platforms (META). The resulting sector rotation has put energy stocks and chemicals in the spotlight.

This stock screen highlights 26 companies expecting at least 100% earnings growth in 2022 or their current fiscal year.

While oil stocks and others from the energy sector dominate the list, financial services holding company Ambac Financial (AMBC) leads the stock screen with estimates calling for 1,220% growth this year.

Topping the energy names, Wall Street expects HF Sinclair (DINO) and Valero Energy (VLO) to both pump out more than 800% EPS growth this year.

Other oil and gas stocks with big estimates include Murphy Oil (MUR), Occidental Petroleum (OXY), Phillips 66 (PSX), Hess (HES) and Comstock Resources (CRK), just to name a few.

Pinduoduo (PDD), one of the best Chinese stocks to buy and watch, also makes the list. As PDD stock continues to recover from its March lows, analysts expect the internet retailer to deliver 153% earnings growth this year.

On both lists you’ll find several energy stocks, including HF Sinclair, Valero Energy, Hess and TotalEnergies (TTE).

Outside of the energy sector, packing leader Graphic Packaging (GPK) and biotech Genmab (GMAB) also land a spot on both screens.
