Arizona’s double overtime loss to Florida Atlantic on Saturday did little to dissuade voters that the Wildcats are one of the best teams in the country.

Arizona stayed put at No. 4 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll on Monday, while FAU jumped seven spots to No. 7. FAU’s ranking is its highest in program history.

Purdue is ranked No. 1, followed by Kansas and Houston.

The Wildcats benefited in the rankings by several teams behind them losing games this past week. Arizona also added a quality win over Alabama last Wednesday in Phoenix.

Arizona received 1,191 points, down from 1,372 a week ago.

The Wildcats remain the only Pac-12 ranked in the poll. Colorado is second in receiving votes, while Utah is fourth.

Arizona begins Pac-12 play this week when it travels to take on the Bay Area schools, beginning with Cal on Thursday evening.
