Andra Day opened proceedings at the 2024 Super Bowl, singing “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” The singer and actress, who won a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Billie Holliday in the film The United States vs. Billie Holliday, performed the Black national anthem ahead of the game at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Day was joined by back-up singers and American Sign Language interpreter Shaheem Sanzchez. Watch it happen below.
