According to Jean Kim, a Navy wife and senior product manager at Military.com, even if you hear a company is offering military discounts at the national level, it’s always smart to call ahead to make sure the location near you is offering the discount and confirm the details as they may vary by location.
And though all these discounts were correct at press time, they do change frequently, so hop online to verify or give the business a call before you shop. Finally, even if you don’t see a particular business listed, you can ask before you buy if they offer discounts to military personnel and families. You may wind up saving a ton!
How Do I Get A Military Discount?
Each store has its own policies, but typically, bigger retailers require you to show proof of your military status by showing your military ID at the time of purchase or by verifying your status with partners such as ID.me, SheerID and WeSalute.

Disneyland / Walt Disney World Resort
Disney has a “great relationship with the military, with all sorts of discounts and deals available,” says Kim. It offers military discounts for Disneyland and military discounts for Walt Disney World. Check out Shades of Green, an Armed Forces Recreation Center that is a partner of Walt Disney World and operated by the U.S. Army. It offers tax-free accommodations for all branches of the military and their guests just minutes from the Magic Kingdom. Read the eligibility fine print for Shades of Green to see if you qualify.

Reintegrating into the workforce can be a challenge. Still, Silent Professionals is giving away free access to their specialized job board, helping veterans find work using the skills they gained in military service. United Services Automobile Association (USAA)
