With signing day just hours away, Arizona women’s basketball has its first known commitment for 2025. Illinois guard Roxy White announced her commitment to the Wildcats on Tuesday afternoon.

The 5-foot-11 guard plays for Example Academy in Frankfort, Ill. White played on the national team for the all-girls prep school last year, facing off against other prep schools like IMG Academy, SPIRE Academy, AZ Compass Prep, Mt. Zion Prep, and Montverde Academy. The Eagles finished the year 20-8.

The program won the Insider Exposure Independent School national championships in both 2022 and 2023. In 2024, they won the Grind Session championship against defending champion Bella Vista Prep with White starting for her underdog squad. It was just the second loss of the season for BVP.

White plays club ball for Example Sports, which featured several other players the Wildcats offered.

White received interest from Ohio State early in her high school career, but Arizona did not offer her until mid-October. She also had offers from Georgetown, Navy, and several other schools. She had taken most of her visits to smaller schools like Rhode Island, Utah State, and Loyola.
