A week after posting some of its best grades in beating Houston, Arizona reverted back to what it’s done most of this season in Saturday’s 49-28 loss at TCU.

The Wildcats (4-7, 2-6 Big 12) posted an overall grade of 67.3, per Pro Football Focus, their fifth-lowest of 2024. Their offensive grade of 70.9 was actually third-best of the season, though the 65.2 rushing grade was second-worst and the defensive grade (XXX) was near the bottom as well.

Nothing was worse than Arizona’s tackling, as PFF graded it at 27.8 and charged the Wildcats with 23 missed tackles. That’s their lowest tackling grade since PFF started grading individual games in 2014.

For the year, the UA’s overall grade is 77.6, which ranks 89th out of 134 FBS schools. That’s not that far behind ASU, which is 79th at 80.4 despite being 9-2, ranked 14th in the latest Associated Press Top 25 and playing for a spot in the Big 12 title game in Saturday’s Territorial Cup.
